Your Pitt ID card gets you fare-free rides on Pittsburgh Regional Transit buses and light-rail trains throughout Allegheny County. Pitt buses and shuttles get you to and from University facilities on- and off-campus.

Find information about campus parking permits and garages, Pitt carpools and vanpools, and University rental cars through Pitt Parking, Transportation & Services. The Pittsburgh Parking Authority has details on city parking lots and metered parking. To obtain or renew a Pennsylvania drivers license and register your car in-state, contact the PA Department of Motor Vehicles.

Bike Friendly

Bicycle lanes line the streets of Pitt’s home neighborhood of Oakland (and much of the rest of Pittsburgh). Rental bikes are available at several stations, and bike racks are plentiful on campus. Pitt even holds an annual Bike to Work Day to help encourage two-wheeled commuting.
